They always say buy what you love, and I am the very proud owner of one of Gerry Unsworth's magical handmade pumpkins. The detail is extraordinary and for me, it is a piece of ceramic art. Mine attracts compliments whenever people see it. It's tactile, unusual and utterly charming - one of those pieces that people simply can't resist picking up and admiring.

At Stanley & May, we particularly love the glaze on this pumpkin. The soft white finish is layered with subtle natural tones that give it warmth, depth and character. It's a beautifully understated colour that feels timeless and would sit effortlessly in both contemporary and traditional interiors. In fact, we suspect even Farrow & Ball would be tempted to recreate it. This pumpkin is one of a kind.
